ON A bright and sunny morning, the ladies from North Petherton Bowling Club came to Wellington to play three triples games - with the home club gaining a convincing victory.

The visitors had come hoping hoping for a win but the Wellington sides were too good on the day, taking a victory on all three rinks.

Liz May, Janet Moore and Pauline Wadham were 5 – 1 down early on but they soon caught up and with a total of 11 shots in the last four ends ensured a good victory 23 – 14.

On the second rink, Janet Lovell, June Anderson and Marguerite Nichols started well and progressed steadily, holding their lead to the end for a 17 – 12 win.

Debbie Beasley, Wendy Scott and Angie Moore hardly put a foot wrong all game, winning in style 32 – 7.

A pleasant and friendly match ended with an excellent win for the Wellington ladies by 72 shots to 33
