TIVERTON Foxhounds will be staging their annual point to point at Chipley Park on Sunday, January 25, with a six-race card and 85 entries (first race 12 noon), writes Lauren Reed.

Champion point to point trainer Joshua Newman has eight entries which include the impressive Noble Blue in the GRE LTD and Margaret Mitchem Members Race and he remains unbeaten this season.

Of Joshua’s other entries, Al Gasparo catches the eye in the Every Solicitors and Sovereign Park Homes Estates Ltd Mixed Open, having won at Wadebridge and is one to keep on the right side of.

Champion lady jockey Gina Andrews has Master Templar in the same race and could prove to be Al Gasparo’s main rival.

Mount Sinai won at Devon and Cornwall’s opening meeting for Christopher Barber and was running with plenty of credit before coming down two fences from home at Chaddesley Corbett.

The biggest field of the day could come from the Agrii and Tozers Solicitors Maiden with 19 entries.

Four year old Titi Montmartre (Christopher Barber) looks likely to make his racecourse debut and with the yard in great form, could make his presence felt here.

Docket Man is now in the hands of Joshua Newman and could improve on his recent placing at Chaddesley. Of the other races, Dreamaboutit for Edward Rees looks interesting in the The Jockey Club and Clarke Willmott Mares Maiden, having finished third on her last start.

The Exeter Racecourse Intermediate looks to be the most competitive with multiple winners among them. Glancing Hill (Francesca Poste) has won four of his eight starts and looks to be on the up.

The final race is the the Greenslade Taylor Hunt and Friends of Geoff White Restricted where Clonagoose will be hoping to make it three on the bounce since joining Emma Summersby. £15pp (under 16s free), postcode TA21 0QU.
