MINEHEAD Cricket Club will be the venue for the West Somerset League’s two T20 cup final on Sunday, August 16.

Minehead 3rd XI will play Stogumber 2nd XI in the final of the Stuart Allbut Memorial Shield for third and fourth division sides in the morning, with an 11a.m. start.

Minehead, who are chasing a league and cup double, reached the final by beating Taunton Deane 6th XI by nine wickets in the last four, while Stogumber 2nd XI were 55-run winners over Buckland St Mary & Bishopswood in the other semi-final.

This will be followed in the afternoon by the final of the senior West Somerset Cricket League KO Cup between Watchet and Stogumber, which is set to start at 2.30 p.m.

Watchet were comfortable 73-run winners over Bagborough in the semi-finals while Stogumber beat Morebath by five wickets to book their place in the final.
