WELLINGTON Cricket Club have agreed a ground sponsorship deal for the season.

The ground will be known as the Lloyd & Whyte Cricket Ground, marking an initial two year partnership with Taunton-based insurance brokers Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking.

Gemma Mather, South West regional director for L&W Community Broking, said: "We’re proud to be the primary ground sponsor for the club.

"I am from Wellington, so the cricket club is an integral part of my community, and it’s great to be able to, through Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking, support the club."

The brokers also extend thanks to Wellington club chair Mark Salter for agreeing to the sponsorship.

Meanwhile Wellington’s three senior teams are all in action this weekend. The first team play away to Chard in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League, the seconds are home to Wells & Horrington in Division One of the Somerset League while the thirds are home to Trull 2nds in Division 7 South.
