WELLINGTON Cricket Club is again being supported by its main sponsors Somerset Buffet (www.somersetbuffet.com) and Wellington Self Storage (www.wellingtonselfstorage.co.uk).
A club spokesperson said: “Their support is greatly appreciated for a second season in a row. This season also welcomes a ground sponsor in Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking and the ground at Wellington Playing Field will be named 'The Lloyd & Whyte Cricket Ground' in both 2026 and 2027 following a two year sponsorship agreement. The Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking website is www.lloydwhytecommunity.com.
Wellington CC is also supported by Tonegate Motors, Carly Press and NewEra Cricket this season.
On Saturdays the clubhouse is open as soon as matches get underway and the club welcome social members to support their teams.
Meanwhile, Wellington lst XI will be hoping for a rain-free day when they play at home to North Perrott in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League on Saurday, May 23 (12 noon).
Wellington were due to play away to Taunton in a derby match last weekend but the game was cancelled without a ball being bowled.
However, two matches were played - and completed. Frome gained a four-wicket away victory over Chard while Yeovil beat Bridgwater 2nd XI by 92 runs.
Wellington go into their match against North Perrott in fifth spot, while their opponents are lying seventh. Yeovil top the table with a two-point lead over second-placed Ilminster.

Wellington 2nd XI play away to Cranmore in the first division of the Somerset League while Wellington 3rd XI, who have an early 22 point lead at the top of Division Seven South, have a blank Saturday.
