WELLINGTON 3rd XI were involved in a rain-affected draw away to Taunton Deane 4th XI in Division Six West of the Somerset Cricket League on Saturday, both sides collecting 16 points.

Only 15 overs were played in the match. Wellington scored 92 for the loss of four wickets with opener Aks Latifi scoring 64 not out. Fellow opener George Davis was out for 14, one of four victims for Deane bowler Bruce Crosland who took 4-8 in 18 balls.

Winscombe 2nd XI are the early leaders of the division. They have 105 points from their opening three fixtures, while Wembdon 4th XI are second, 19 points adrift.
