THE final of Wellington Ladies Darts League’s Jenny Ensor Cup was held at the football club on Tuesday (March 12).

The competition, also known as the Kith and Kin competition, is held annually for related pairs.

The winners were Linda Perry and her niece Sam Upham.

Ten pairs entered with Michelle and Shannon playing Lizzy and Lorraine and Annie and Lee facing Caz and Yasmin in the prelims.

The quarter finals were well contested with Linda and Sam taking on Lizzy and Lorraine, Karen and Sophie playing against Steph and Charlie, Ali and Ellie facing Caz and Yasmin, and Vi and Tracy competing against Shirley and Becky.

Linda and Sam beat Karen and Sophie in the first semi final with Caz and Yasmin victorious against Shirley and Becky in the other.

After a closely contested final, the cup was handed over to winners Linda and Sam.

Next week is the mixed pairs at the football club

Finals night is being held on Friday, March 22 at The Rockwell Green Club.

The final of the KO cup will be played followed by the presentation of trophies.  

Organisers say it would be great to see as many players attending the event as possible.
