ALCOMBE Rovers and Bridgwater Grasshoppers have both pulled out of the Premier Division in the Centregreat Taunton & District Saturday Football League which gets underway on September 5.

It means the division will consist of only ten teams this season, instead of 12.

However, among the new teams are Taunton Town Reserves, AFC Taunton and Taunton Town Under 23s. The Reserves have been placed in Division One which means they will be firm favourites to win the 12-team division.

Wellington Reds and Wellington Road Dons are also back in the league and have been placed in Division Two.

The league will consist of 36 teams in three divisions, compared to 35 last season, with ten in the Premier, 12 in Division One and 14 in Division Two.

Wembdon, who won the Premier Division last season, finishing ten points clear of runners-up Porlock, begin the defence of their title with a an away game against Nether Stowey on September 5.

Porlock will not be in action until the following Saturday when they entertain Galmington who finished third last winter, four points behind their rivals.

Racehorse Rovers, who won Division One, kick off the new season in the top division with an away match against Minehead Reserves.

The set-up of the league is: Premier Division: Dunwear United, Galmington, Minehead Reserves, Nether Stowey, North Petherton, Porlock, Racehorse Rovers, Staplegrove Reserves, Wembdon, Wyvern United.

Division One: Bridgwater & Albion, Bridgwater Sports, Dulverton Town, Dunwear United Reserves, Galmington Reserves, Nether Stowey Reserves, North Curry, Norton Fitzwarren, Old Inn 98, Taunton Town Reserves, Wellington A, Wembdon Reserves.

Division Two: AFC Taunton, Bridgwater Sports Colts, Bridgwater Wolves, Middlezoy Rovers Reserves, Minehead Colts, North Petherton Reserves, Norton Fitzwarren Reserves, Porlock Reserves, Racehorse Rovers Reserves, Taunton Town U23s, Watchet Town Reserves, Wellington Reds, Wellington Road Dons, Woolavington.
