WELLINGTON is the venue for two big sporting derby matches on Boxing Day.

Clive Jones’ table-topping soccer team will be action at 12.30pm when they play Bishops Lydeard in the first division of the Toolstation League.

Two hours later Wellington’s rugby boys play Wiveliscombe in an eagerly awaited annual fixture.

Wellington have had the edge in recent years but Wiveliscombe have the better record this season so far.
