THE disability section of Wellington AFC have launched a drive for new players and are inviting anyone interested in joining to go along to a training session.

The friendly group train every Monday night at Castle School, Taunton, from 7pm to 8pm.

They are also looking for a sponsor and if anyone would like to help in any way, it would be much appreciated.

If you would like further information about the section - or are interested in becoming a sponsor – please call Jason Fox on 07477 100529.

Wellington Disability FC took part in a friendly three-game series run by Julie Bowler from South West CP.

Wellington fielded their first team and development team and both did extremely well against South West CP, Plymouth Warriors and Hamble from Southampton.

The games were played on Robert Blake School’s 3G Astro in Bridgwater where there was some great football and a lot of fun was had by everyone.

Both teams will be taking part in the Somerset Ability Counts League next on Sunday, February 13 – which promises more fun and brilliant football.

Wellington have forthcoming fixtures against South West CP, Swindon PAN Disability and will be playing Chelsea Disability on Saturday, April 30.

They also hope to take part in a disability tournament at Hamble the end of the season.
