LOCAL firm AJ Shire Electrical and Solar Services are again the main kit sponsors of Wellington who play in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League.
Wellington are enjoying a fine season under manager Richard Cherry and recently won eight successive games - six in the league and two in cup competitions.
At the moment they are punching above their weight because a number of clubs in the top division of the league have far bigger playing budgets.
Staying in the premier division is the club's main aim each season but they recently climbed to sixth in the table.
However, they suffered a surprise defeat in the Les Phillips Cup when they lost 3-1 at home to struggling first division outfit Cheddar on a very wet pitch.
It followed a 4-1 home loss in the league to local rivals Bridgwater United which ended their eight-match winning run which had seen them soar up the table.
Cherry has had the added problem this season of unavailability of players and has had to make changes to the side throughout the winter. Even so the team has often responded well and surprised their opponents.
