FORMER Court Fields School student Tom Nichols has been sold by Exeter City to Peterborough.
The 22-year-old striker leapt to stardom by scoring against Liverpool in the FA Cup last month.
He has moved for an ‘undisclosed fee’ which is thought to be about £250,000 rising to £400,000. “When I heard about the interest from Peterborough, it was a no brainer,” he said.
“I feel it is the right time in my career for the next chapter. I have been at Exeter for a long time and they have been fantastic with me and scoring against Liverpool was a huge career highlight for me.”
Nichols, who joined Exeter as a ten year old, had scored 12 goals this season for City before his move last week.
