THE FA have finally removed Milverton Rangers from the first division table in the Invest Southwest Taunton Saturday Football League - seven weeks after they pulled out.
Rangers were lying bottom with minus two points from nine games when they withdrew because of lack of players in January.
Milverton chairman Joe O’Brien said at the time the club had been fined £90 for not playing a cup game. He said he had been putting money into the club and he had “had enough.”
But the official league table still included Milverton last week with the Saturday League unable do anything about it.
A league official explained only the FA could remove Milverton and they had been asked to do this more than once.
Altogether eight teams had points deducted with Bridgwater Sports unaffected because they had not played Milverton.
It meant Sports moved to the top of the table, two points clear of former leaders Middlezoy Rovers Reserves who have three games in hand.
