WELLINGTON goalkeeper Connor Sidley-Adams has parted company with the Toolstation League club.
Sidley-Adams was Wellington’s first-choice keeper during their championship-winning season in the first division but has recently changed his job and has not been able to train as regularly as he would have wished. He has also been in America in recent weeks.
“Connor was outstanding for us last season and we wouldn’t have won the league without him,” said Wellington manager Clive Jones.
“He is a fine goalkeeper and I wish him all the best in the future. I fully understand his reasons for not wanting to play any more.”
Meanwhile Jones has persuaded midfielder Scott Drayton to come out of retirement.
“We’re thin on the ground at the moment and Scott has agreed to help us out,” added Jones.”I’m hoping he will enjoy it and will want to continue playing.”
