In truth this has been coming for a few weeks as the management have struggled to be the encouraging driving force that the interest waning squad have needed.
As it stands, it is very unlikely that there will be a football team in Hemyock next season. For too many seasons now, Hemyock have had to promote managers from within the team and in all honesty everything has become too friendly and easy and ultimately led to the demise of the club.
What is needed is fresh incentive from an outside source, someone who can stop this rut and build up again what has been a successful, if small club.
The squad, with the right direction, is strong and the facilities available excellent.
Next season will also see the emergence of the current under 16 team to enhance the current squad so on paper the playing side of things looks very healthy. Unfortunately without fresh impetus on the managerial side of things, this talent could well go to waste.
