THE search for a new Hemyock FC manager is over, writes Phil Bell. Hemyock are delighted to announce that Sam Iddon has been appointed to take over from Darren Salter.

Iddon, a former Hemyock goalkeeper, has spent many seasons honing his refereeing skills but has put this on the back burner to focus on his first managerial post.

The knowledge and contacts gained from refereeing at a high standard it is hoped will stand both himself and the football club in good stead.

Iddon said: ”I am delighted to be given the opportunity to manage Hemyock Football Club. After a gruelling selection process, I am delighted that the chairman, Philip Bell, shares the same vision as I do.”

Now all that is needed is a football season, hopefully this won’t be too far away.
