WELLINGTON boss Clive Jones is looking for maximum points from his side’s two home games in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League over the next four days.

Wellington play Clevedon Town in a rearranged game tonight (Wed), weather permitting, before facing Gary Domone’s Hallen on Saturday.

“Both games are winnable,” said Jones whose side beat Odd Down 2-1 at home on Saturday in “an awful game.”

“I got very excited during the match and had to apologise to the players afterwards,” he said. “It seemed like some of them did not want to play.

“However, I’m chuffed we got a result and we managed to grind out a win.

“That was in no small part due to goalkeeper Tom Welch who has proved a very good signing. He made a fine save at the end.”

Welch, however, is unavailable for tonight’s game and his place goes to Mitch Woodgate, while Tim Legg can’t play tonight because he is required to work.

New boys Charlie Bridges and George Sinnott, who scored the winner against Odd Down, will both be in the squad tonight but Jones has made it clear he will be making changes.

Clevedon are lying mid-table while Hallen are fourth from bottom but appear to be safe from relegation.

Hallen’s manager Domone is a former boss of both Wellington and Taunton Town.
