TOOLSTATION League premier division Wellington have lined up three pre-season friendlies - and manager Clive Jones is looking for one more.

“The problem for us is that we cannot offer any team a home fixture,” said Jones.  “We have to play them all away because we cannot play at the Playing Field until September.

“That always been the case - and it will be until we move to a new ground.”

The three games so far arranged are: Tiverton Town (July 16), Exwick (July 24) and Chard Town (July 30).

Jones says he is continuing to talk to possible new players, some of whom will be attending the club’s first pre-season training session on Tuesday, July 2.

“I’m hoping that the players will have kept themselves reasonably fit,” added Jones who is preparing for his fourth season in charge.

“We will concentrate first training with the ball. I’m not one of these managers who sends his players out on a ten-mile run. That’s no good for anyone.

“Much of training must be with a ball.”
