WELLINGTON Football Club’s first team are seeking to play six pre-season friendlies.

Five have already been confirmed and manager Tim Legg is looking to play Ilfracombe Town although this still has to be arranged.

Those confirmed, all away, are: Thursday, August 6, Minehead; Thursday, August 13, Axminster Town, August 19, Middlezoy Rovers; Wednesday, August 26, Exwick Villa; Friday, September 4, Topsham Town.

“We have been having good numbers training with our three senior sides,” said Legg. “Training has been going smoothly within Covid-19 restrictions and things are looking very positive and we’re going forward. Players in last season’s squad have all re-signed and I will be revealing the names of new players in the next ten days.

“I have been encouraged by the number of young players who have been attending. Some of them I have worked with before.”

The Toolstation League have yet to confirm when fixtures will start.
