WELLINGTON have been drawn away to Southern League outfit Paulton Rovers in the semi-finals of the Somerset Premier Cup.

Rovers have been away in all their previous ties - Portishead Town 4-1, Wells City 4-0 and Odd Down 2-0. Wellington, who had a bye in the opening round, beat Chard Town 5-1 away and Clevedon Town 3-2 at home in the quarter-finals.

“It’s going to be a tough tie,” said Wellington manager Clive Jones. “Obviously I would have liked a home draw. But Paulton have good facilities and I’m looking forward to going there.

“Paulton are a good side but we must concentrate on our own game and not worry about them.

“Some of the bigger clubs don’t always field their strongest sides in this competition, so we will see.”

The other semi-final is between Wincanton and Weston super Mare, who have yet to play, and Bath City.

The dates and venues of the semi-finals still have to be decided.
