WELLINGTON AFC's Wildcats girls - all 120 of them - enjoyed their final Thursday training session before the new season begins this weekend (Sept 12).

The Wildcats have teams entered in each league from U11 to U16 and will be offering festival football for U9s and U10s.

A club spokesperson said: "Working hard to maintain and push forward, the Wildcats’ pathway from minis to open age football in the off season has been no easy task.

"So a special thank-you must go to the managers, coaches and volunteers who have worked tirelessly, both behind the scenes and at training, to provide the girls with opportunities this season through a full programme of fixtures."
