WELLINGTON AFC Ladies marked another campaign in Division Three South of the Somerset County Women’s Football League with a presentation evening in the clubhouse at the Playing Field.

Player-manager Ashleigh Grabham-White said: “After starting the season with a lot of new players and a new manager, the ladies have come together very well, ending stronger as a team. We look forward to next season.”

Award winners included: Natasha Hole – manager's player; Nyima Touray – players' player; Tasha Ireland – squad member; Katie Sweetland – most improved; Izzy Webb – coach’s player; Ashleigh Grabham-White – top scorer.

Wellington Ladies finished in sixth place in Division Three South, ending the season with one of their best results - a 2-2 home draw against Porlock Ladies who were runners-up. Staplegrove Ladies were champions, losing only one match all season, while Porlock lost only two matches.

Seven teams competed in the division - Staplegrove Ladies, Porlock Ladies, Combe St Nicholas, Pen Mill Ladies Development, Watchet Ladies, Wellington Ladies and Crewkerne Rangers.
