AFTER a string of away games, Wellington play their first home match of the season when the meet Wells City in the first qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Vase on Saturday (3.00).

The tie provides Wellington with the chance to gain revenge for a 2-1 away defeat by City in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League last month. Some prizemoney is to be gained by the teams with £550 going to the winners and £175 to the losers.

“Playing so many away games has been extremely tough,” said Wellington manager Clive Jones. “But then we knew this.
