WELLINGTON have a tough away match against promoted Bovey Tracey on Saturday, July 25, in their first match of the new season in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League.

It comes only 95 days after Wellington’s last game of the season when they gained a stunning 4-1 away victory over title-chasing Torpoint Athletic.

Bovey Tracey won Premier East in the South West Peninsula League, finishing nine points clear of second-placed Bridport, losing only two league matches.

Wellington finished in 15th place in the Premier Division of the Jewson League and since then manager Richard Cherry has stepped down.
