WELLINGTON’S first team and Under 18s both went down to 3-0 away defeats in football friendlies last night (Thurs).

Wellington’s Jewson League side lost at Bishops Lydeard, who scored two of their goals late on.

Wellington Under 18s, with only 13 of their 28-strong squad available, conceded all three goals in the second half in their match away to their Avonmouth counterparts.

“It was a good foundation for us to build on,” said Wellington’s manager Tom Richards.
