WELLINGTON United U12s collected their FairPlay/Sportsmanship award at the Taunton Youth Football League presentations.
Manager Steve Newstead and coach Richard Upham received the award on behalf of the team with their sons Harry and Leo.
It comes after United held their own presentation evening at Wellington Football Club.
Awards were given to Blake Mead for the golden boot, netting 13 league and cup goals; Jack Farrington bagged the Players Player award voted for by his teammates; Caleb Jackman-Hughes received the most improved player award for his vast improvement throughout the season; Vinnie Taylor received the managers player award for his great effort and attitude all season; Vinnie Taylor also received the Parents Player award voted for by the players’ parents.
All the boys then received a small trophy to celebrate their first year as a team.
Steve added: “Next season we move up to 11 a side football and with the right attitude we’re capable of achieving good things.”
