WELLINGTON Walking Football Club have flown out to Majorca for an international walking football competition organised by the Mallorca FA which will run from the 30th of April to the 4th of May.

The tournament is held annually in Majorca (Santa Ponsa) with 80 teams taking part from all around the world this year - from as far away as Australia to United States of America, Mexico, and Europe.

The first day matches are in a league format with the top teams going through to quarter-final knockout stage the following day, with the semi-final and final being played on 3rd May.

The Wellington team has been working hard and training for this competition for the last couple of months.

Last week Wellington Walking football team had a practise match against Taunton Town using the rules from the competition in Majorca. It was a really good game and enjoyed by both teams.
