THE SUNDAY Stableford Competition at Oake Manor Golf Cub saw some very tight competition for the victory.
The event was won by Bob Tye, who managed to get himself a score of 40 points, while Liam Willey was close behind with 39 points, and Jamie Price rounded out the podium with a score of 38 points.
Amanda Mathers was the clear winner of the “Grannies Goblet” on Sunday scoring 40 points in the Ladies Stableford Competition, four points clear of second placed Shane Bordier on 36 points, while Kathryn Salway came third with 35 points.
58 Seniors played in their “Order of Merit” Stableford Competition on Monday July 21, which saw Dave Kinnear become the clear winner with a superb score of 43 points also winning Division One.
Howard Spear came second with 40 points while Michael Bright was third with 39 points.
In Division Two Leslie Hamp was the winner scoring 40 points while Peter Taylor was second with 39 points and Michael Robbins came third also with 39 points.
There was some excellent scoring in the Ladies Medal on Tuesday with Kate Foster winning Division One with nett 66, Kathryn Smith came second with nett 67 and Ladies Captain Daphne Priddy was third with nett 71.
Past Ladies Captain Sally Jackson had the best score of the day with nett 64, 8 shots under par, Ros Shepherd came second with nett 70 while Patricia Campbell was third with nett 71.
In the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition, the Division One winner was Jamie Short who scored 40 points off a -2 handicap, Jamie Tong came second with 38 points while Mathew Durbin was third also with 38 points.
Gareth Nation was the overall winner and won Division Two with 42 points, John Lowe was second with 40 points while Dylan Jeanes came third with 39 points.
