WELLINGTON will be looking to end their dismal run when they play at home to Cullompton in Regional Two South West today (Sat, 2.30p.m.).
Wellington have lost all three matches this year, conceding a total of 131 points - against Teignmouth, Crediton and Topsham. They have not won since they beat Chard 27-22 at home in mid-December.
Looking ahead to the Cullompton game, Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe said: "It's going to be another tough match. We took a bit of a beating down there. We must treat them with the upmost respect.
"Regardless of the final score at Topsham, we were competitive. Our scrum and line-out was good."
Wellington go into the game without No8 Ben Hayman and full back Rob Hooper who both have shoulder injuries. Hayman suffered a recurrence of his injury at Topsham last weekend.
Cullompton, who have also been drawn away to Wellington in the Papa Johns Community Cup at the end of the season, are lying fifth in the table with nine wins from 16 matches. Wellington are now down to ninth with only five victories.
However, Wellington's second string are having a great season and are lying third in Counties Three Somerset South following their 27-14 home win over Tor last weekend. They play away to Castle Cary who are one place below them but only two points adrift with a game in hand.
Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, whose home form this season has enabled them to pull away from the bottom in Counties One Western West, are away to Tavistock who are lying seventh. Wiveliscombe, who easily beat Bude last weekend, are ninth but a long way off their rivals in the number of points they have scored.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, struggling for numbers and second from bottom in Counties Three Somerset South, are home to seventh-placed Crewkerne.
