WELLINGTON'S former player and manager Tim Legg has joined Somerset County League side Chard Town.

Legg wants to resume playing after deciding on watching from the bench while at Wellington last season where he shared the managerial duties with Alex Pope, who has since moved on to Tiverton Town as head coach.

Meanwhile, Wellington's new manager Richard Cherry takes his side to Brislington this evening (Tues) for a pre-season friendly - the first of three this week.

Wellington play at Bishops Lydeard on Thursday and at Bishop Sutton on Saturday.
