POT Blacks remain five points clear of title rivals SS Squad in Red Division of the Wellington Summer Pool League after beating Snipers 8-7.

The match saw two total clearances - one from Andy Dart and one from Edd Williams.

SS Squad closed the gap on the leaders after Steve Smith and Shaun Hitchcott scored hat tricks in an 11-4 win over Balls in Hand, while Gary Deville and Carl Wood won all their games in a 10-5 victory against Changing Lanes.

Mylows Minions top Yellow Division with Shaun Hellier and Martin Robert’s knocking in hat tricks in a 10-5 win over Two Tees. Second-placed Getting Cider, with new signing Gavin Styles winning all his games, won 9-6 against Pocket Rockets. Old Blues had a close match but a hat trick from Tony Hartnell in the final game decider secured an 8-7 win against Rows Rebels.

The Ladies knockout has been held with Michelle Grundy the winner, with Helen Hounsel runners-up.
