TAUNTON racegoers look to be in for another treat tomorrow when the Orchard Portman course host the Bathwick Tyres Saturday Meeting, the first race kicking-off at 1.35pm, writes Richard Walsh.

With a whopping £66,500 prize pot coupled with heavy, soft in places, racing conditions has attracted 58 runners, with a good spread across all events.

All of the big trainers are represented including Paul Nicholls, Philip Hobbs and Colin Tizzard.

The big race on the card is the Bathwick Tyres Seniors’ Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) over two miles three furlongs at 3.55 which carries a massive £18,500 in prize money.

Punters are reminded that they can gain free admission if they bring their badge from December 30th with them.

A courtesy coach service departs from Taunton railway station two hours before the first race returning from the course 30 minutes after the start of the last race.
