WELLINGTON Rugby Club Under 13s have been making the best of lockdown by taking part in online live sessions led and supported by head coach Tom Knell, and assistant coaches Ben, Olly and Jon.

The boys, wearing team colours, took to the screen like ducks to water in their first pre-season team reunion. They learned the headcase outlines and were quizzed on their collective knowledge and understanding.

The team aim to meet weekly on a virtual basis to prepare for their venture into junior grade; uncover and understand the new laws; challenge each other physically with technique and fitness tasks; and to monitor and record their own improvements.

Exeter Chiefs player and U20 England player Richard Capstick has offered to go through tackle techniques and give the players advice for next season.
