WELLINGTON face another tough rugby match on Saturday when they play at home to Devonport Services in Western Counties West (3.00), writes Barry Knott.
The servicemen became the first side to beat Cullompton this season, winning 18-15 at home over the weekend.
However, Wellington will be looking for back to back wins after beating Burnham on Sea 14-10 away on Saturday.
“The lads worked hard and I thought the lads deserved to win,” said Wellington’s coach Laurence Ovens. “Our discipline was much better this week after losing against Cullompton when we gave away 20-odd penalties.
“I’m not sure what sort of side Devonport will bring with them.”
Wellington 2nd XV, who lost 19-5 at home against a useful looking side in Clevedon in Somerset One over the weekend, are away to Chew Valley on Saturday.
Wiveliscombe will be looking to bounce back after two successive defeats - admittedly against the top two sides - when they play away to Bridgwater & Albion’s 2nd XV in Somerset Premier on Saturday.
Albion were promoted last season after winning all their games in Somerset One. Their record to date is won three and lost one.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are home to Somerset Two South leaders Morganians who have a 100 per cent record after four matches.
