WELLINGTON lst XV went down to a 67-0 loss against highflyers Wadebridge Camels in Regional Two South West at the Athletic Ground in Corams Lane.
Wellington went into the game having lost all 14 of their league matches this season and 16 points adrift at the bottom of the table.
And they soon found themselves up against it as Camels, lying in third spot but with the same number of points as second placed Tiverton, built up a 27-nil lead at the interval.
It was very much a case of damage limitation in the second half as Camels piled on the agony for the home side, scoring another 40 points.
It enabled the Camels to complete the season’s double over Wellington, having won 66-10 on their own ground in late October.
Wellington go again on Saturday, February 21, when they play away to Penzance & Newlyn who won 52-0 at the Athletic Ground earlier this season.
