FORMER St Austell centre and back row forward Andrew Sincock has joined new South West One (W) rugby side Wellington.

Sincock, who has moved to the area, has been training with his new club and Wellington coach Allyn Chetland said: “Sincock watched Wellington play a few times last season and looks a useful player. He is potentially first team material.”

“Numbers at training (on Wednesdays) are progressively getting better but, of course, we have no date for the start of the new

season.

“At the moment we can only play touch-rugby but safety is safety at the end of it.

“The lay-off has allowed players with injuries and knocks time to get over these. We had one or two players struggling by March and needing a break.”
