WELLINGTON Rugby Club are expected to carry out a pitch inspection at the Athletic Ground tomorrow evening (Fri).
Wellington are due to play Ivybridge in Regional Two West the following day (2.30p.m.).
“We’ve had a lot of rain and the pitch is already saturated,” said the Wellington club’s secretary Ashley Colman today.
“The forecast tomorrow is not good. We will give Ivybridge plenty of notice if they game has to be called off.
Ivybridge are sixth in the table, having won eight of their 14 games while Wellington have yet to get off the mark, having lost all 13 of their matches.
Wellington lost a number of experienced players last summer, and have not been able to replace them.
