WELLINGTON beat Bridgwater & Albion 29pts-26 in a thrilling pre-season rugby friendly played before a large crowd at the Athletic Ground.
It was a good work-out for both sides who made numerous changes during the match.
Wellington led 17-0 at one stage only for Albion to come storming back to lead 26-22 before Will Hodgson snapped up his third try near the end with Tom Owen converting.
Wellington went into a good lead with tries by skipper George Hodson, brother Will and a solo effort by Owen, one of which was converted by Danny Goverd.
Albion reduced the arrears to 17-12 with two tries before Will Hodgson put Wellington 22-12 up with a brilliant try. However, Albion hit back again with two converted tries to make it 26-22 to the visitors.
But, in an entertaining game, Will Hodgson completed a hat-trick of tries for the home side with Owen converting to round off a match enjoyed by both sets of supporters.
