WELLINGTON slumped to a 4-0 away defeat against Ashton & Backwell United in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League last night (Tues), conceding all four goals in the last 20 minutes.

Wellington looked to be heading for their seventh draw of the season when they went into the last half an hour on level terms.

But the breakthrough came in the 70th minute when substitute Miles Hardidge out paced Wellington's defence to shoot past goalkeeper Harley Wilkinson for the opening goal.

Hardidge went on to complete a hat-trick, scoring again in the 77th and 89th minutes (pen). Charlie Saunders netted a fourth for the home side two minutes into injury time.
