WELLINGTON Ex-Services Skittles League will be holding a committee meeting today (Fri) to finalise fixtures for the start of the season.

Nineteen teams are keen to play but 13 sides have decided not to compete this winter because of Covid-19.

The league is set to start on Wednesday, November 4, with two divisions but there will have to be flexibility about match nights because of the availability of alleys. Match nights will be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Teams will consist of only six players with the option of sanitising hands before skittling or wearing gloves. Sticker-ups will also have the same choice.

Fixtures will be disclosed in next week’s WWN.
