WELLINGTON, down to ten men for 53 minutes, were beaten 1-0 at home by Buckland Athletic in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League yesterday.

The home side were reduced to ten men when Nathan Byrne was sent off for pulling down a player on the edge of the circle.

Buckland had taken the lead six minutes earlier when Ryan Bush shot the visitors ahead.

Earlier Buckland had missed a penalty when Jarad Lexingdon dragged his spot-kick wide.

Wellington's man-of-the-match was defender Tom Stone who received the award from Jason Hawkings of JH Total Construction who sponsored the game.

Wellington play at Cadbury Heath on Monday.
