WELLINGTON Squash and Racketball Club have held their end of term competition and Christmas party. The competition was a handicap knockout with each match being best of three games.
On the night there were three rounds to be played, quarter final, semi final and final. The final was between Tom Hendy and Jamie Wright, who had to give Tom a six point start in each game with Tom on 0 and Jamie on -6. The result was a 2-1 win for Tom who played his heart out with some amazing recovery shots which only he knows how he did it.
The next round of the Somerset Squash League kicks off in January. Anyone interested in playing competitive squash or just play to keep fit can come along to club night every Wednesday from 7.00pm. The club has a website where more details can be found.
