WELLINGTON Town and Bridgwater Wolves clash in the final of the Taunton Sunday Youth Football League’s Under 16 KO Cup at the Viridor Stadium, Taunton, on Friday (7.30).

Both teams are in with a chance of a league and cup double, but Wellington’s hopes of winning the league have been dealt a big blow by two defeats against Tone Youth - 7-5 away and 6-5 at home on Sunday. 

Wellington bounced back from their first defeat of the season to beat Galmington Dragons Hawks 22-0 away, proving far too strong with top scorer Ollie Holman hitting a double hat-trick, while Callum Fox-Lang scored four and Jack Whelan also netted three.

Wellington were due to play Bridgwater Wolves away in a league match last night which they needed to win if they are to finish top of the table.
