THE big three - Split Pins, Jolly Blues and Land Girls - all won their matches on Monday night to maintain their fight for the title in the Wellington Ladies Skittles League.

Split Pins stay three points in the clear at the top after beating All Blacks by 35 pins with Liza Mace being their leading skittler with a hand of 49.

Champions Jolly Blues remain second - they also have two matches in hand - after they beat Pin & Tonics by ten pins with Ali Campbell again in top form with 54, following up her 64 of the previous week. Lucy Johnson hit 59 for the opposition.

Land Girls are two points further adrift - they also have two games in hand on the leaders - after they won by 35 pins away to Muppets with Kath Rose steering them home with 46.

Meanwhile, Split Pins will be looking to hold on to top spot when they play away to LOA Spare on Monday, February 9, while Jolly Blues play away to All Blacks. Land Girls, however, have a bye and will be sitting out the night.
