WELLINGTON collected only their second point of the season in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League when they drew 1-1 at Ilfracombe last night (Tues).

Although they are still without a win this season, this was a welcome point for Wellington after five successive defeats, including losses in both the FA Cup and FA Vase.

Wellington were very unfortunate to fall behind early on at Ilfracombe, a low cross being turned into his own net by Tom Stone after only three minutes.

But they fought back to equalise in the 35th minute with a debut goal by Lewis Trusson, newly signed from Ilminster Town, latching on to a pass by Jordan Hayman before shooting home.

There was a welcome return to the Wellington side for Ryan Brereton who came on as a 70th minute substitute after suffering a small fracture to the ankle only four weeks ago.
