Wellington, who chose to bat first, amassed 384-8 with Sri Lankan Sandaken Pathirana scoring 142 and Alex Sparks, playing his first league game of the season, knocking 114. The pair shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 281.
Arthur Harman took three wickets for Frome - at a cost of 107 runs.
Facing a daunting 385 to win, Frome lost a wicket for only one run and never looked like reaching their target, being all out for 198 in 47.5 overs.
