WELLINGTON have another pre-season football friendly this evening (Fri) when they play away to Bishops Lydeard, with the game kicking off at 7p.m.

It will be their third warm-up match in seven days, having drawn 3-3 at Bovey Tracey last Saturday and losing 3-0 to a very experienced Axminister Town on Tuesday.

"We're looking to field a much stronger squad at Lydeard," said Wellington's new assistant player-manager Jack Porter last night. "We can learn a lot about players from these games."

Wellington also have a tough away friendly against Brislington this coming Tuesday.

Their opening game in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League is away to Helston Athletic on Saturday, July 29. The following Tuesday they are at Shepton Mallet.

Meanwhile, Wellington are looking to re-sign goalkeeper Shay Allen.
