DESPITE a poor start to the season, Wellington's manager Richard Cherry and his assistant Jack Porter have the full support of the club.
Wellington have won only one of their 13 matches in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League this season and are lying second from bottom in the table.
But the message this week from club chairman Mike Hall is: "The reality is we are playing against teams with much bigger budgets. Richard is under no pressure.
"Patience is the key. There will be times like last Saturday (beaten 5-1 at home by Brixham) when we will have results like this. But we have won a couple of matches recently and we had a good spell early in the second half against Brixham.
"What we lack is experience. We have not got those old heads. We have young players who are still learning. And if they become good they are quickly snapped up by more wealthy clubs who have the money.
"We certainly don't want to be in a position where the money comes mostly from one main source, and then it dries up."
Meanwhile, Wellington have another home game in the league this afternoon (Sat) when they play Buckland Athletic (3p.m.).
