WELLINGTON won their first match of 2024 when they beat fifth-placed Cullompton 10-5 at homier Regional Two South West this afternoon (Sat).

The Devon side scored a try to go ahead 5-0 after half an hour but Wellington hit back with a five-pointer by Ollie Price which was converted by Mikey Taylor.

And Taylor put Wellington further ahead with a penalty not long into the second half.

Wellington managed to stay ahead until the final whistle to win only their sixth league game of the season.
