WELLINGTON'S assistant player-manager Jack Porter has ruled out any more new signings before tomorrow's (Sat) FA Cup extra preliminary round tie against Bideford at Willand (3p.m.).

The tie, which carries £1,125 in prizemoney for the winners, was drawn to be played at the Playing Field but this is being used by the cricket club.

Wellington, who have brought in a number of new players for this season, would like to have a good cup run and Porter said today: "We would love success in the cup. It is something we are prioritising. The money speaks for itself.

"The more success in this competition the better the club is financially."

Wellington have played twice in the last seven days, drawing 2-2 at Helston and losing 2-0 at Shepton Mallet on Tuesday - both in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League.

Porter added after the loss at Shepton: "It was a close game but, unfortunately, decisions went against us. We hit the post and had two efforts kicked off the goal-line."

Wellington A play away to a combined Minehead Reserves/Colts side tomorrow (3p.m.).
